I am a lesbian-identified Ph.D student in Los Angeles (Claremont Colleges) researching social psychology & LGBT health. I am a lover of indie tunes, tiny dogs, intelligent women, protruding hip bones & big ideas.
I make a living as a survey methodologist and data analyst in a School of Public Health while I'm finishing up my Ph.D. I'm always interested in collaborations and using my survey & statistics skills to help LGBTQ community organizations non-profits. Hit me up.
Activism & Interests?
Right now I'm doing an online study about HOW, exactly, "It Gets Better" in young adulthood. I am looking for 1800 LGBTQ young adults ages 18-35 yrs old to complete an online survey at http://tinyurl.com/HowItGetsBetterSTUDY.
Survey responses will be used to validate a new, multi-dimensional scale of gay/lez community involvement to be used by clinicians and researchers, and to investigate the specific psychological mechanisms by which sexual minority communities may promote well-being among sexual minority young peeps living in different social climates. This is for a good cause, please help me get the word out online by checking it out, tweeting it, Liking it, Recommending it, whatev works.
