UPDATE: Christmas, Homeless Trans and LGB Youth

Posted on December 7, 2008 at 9:20am 0 Comments

I am very happy to say that there ARE people stepping up for this! Allanah Starr, Hedda Lettuce, Miss Vera, and East of Eighth Restaurant are all pitching in and helping with the Christmas dinner and food dive to benefit Sylvia's Place, the emergency shelter for LGBT kids in NYC. Donations of non perishables are being collected at Nowhere Bar for temporary storage.

Hi Mona, I came across your page here quite by accident, but am glad I did. You continue to be a source of inspiration for me.

As you know, I have been searching for some way to be active and supportive in and of our community locally but have not had a lot of success. Any suggestions or advice you may have for me would be greatly appreciated.
