Who are we?

By Janice CovingtonMany of our brothers and sisters in the Gay and Lesbian Community have a hard time understanding why a man wants to dress as a woman or a woman wants to dress as a man. To some the thought of a person dressing in the attire of the opposite sex is psychologically unsound. The true transgender does not dress for fantasy, Living life as the opposite gender is away of life. A transgender person was born with a sense of being the gender they feel most comfortable with. I feel the…See More

Vanessa Edwards Foster commented on Janice Covington's blog post 'Transgender Coalition Protest HRC'
"Great job with the protest, though I must say that HRC is a long, long, long way from making things truly equal. Look at all GLBT hiring practices -- esp. on the marriage issue (which trans people should've been leading from the get-go). Look…"

I wanted Joe to know that we as transgenders can are a civil and intelligent people, and that we do know how to sit down and have an open dialog. My intent was to deliver a…See More

"I agree. Allyson Robinson is acting as an agent of HRC. This is classic of HRC's win back program to infiltrate as many Transgender organizations as possible. In my opinion the reason is all about the dollar. For the last past year they have…"
